ARC Extends a Helping Hand During COVID-19 Pandemic
As the 2020 pandemic forced travel cancellations, Advancing Resources for Campus Ministry (ARC) decided to redirect funds allocated to support college student traveling to an annual public campus ministry training event, ACFI (Adventist Campus Fellowship Institute). The Board voted to provide emergency financial assistance to students experiencing hardships due to life and work disruptions caused by the pandemic.
Applications were accepted from Adventist students attending any public college or university in the United States. After completing a brief application on ARC’s website and providing their pastor’s contact information for verification, students received a gift card of up to $200 to help cover costs for daily essentials such as food, gas, utilities, and phone bills. God blessed this outreach tremendously. All verifiable applications were funded. To date, ARC has assisted 28 students and disbursed $5600. We will continue to accept applications until allocated funds are exhausted.
During this season of thanks and giving, please consider extending your helping hand to support ARC’s mission. Together we can give more!
Emergency Assistance Fund
With all the current events happening in our world, ARC has gotten together with the board members and came up with a solution to help a student in need of financial emergency assistance.
Most often, the application process involves one step, although the board might ask for additional details, which will require a second step.
From daily essentials like food, gas, water, to paying a bill we hope and pray that this amount can help you alleviate a little bit of your stress as we continue going through this hardship as a community.
Funds are limited and will be disbursed on a first-come-first-serve basis upon approval of requests. Support is capped at $200 (one request per person) and will be disbursed in the form of an electronic gift card. (Applicants may be asked for additional information as needed, and consult further with the ARC director.)
By submitting a request, applicants agree to opt-in for the ARC e-mail list and receive communications from ARC.
